A day-long camp at our Chitragupta Nagar centre with local ophthalmologists - registrations, screening, glasses at concessional rates and hospital referrals for 26 people.
Early on a Sunday morning our volunteers turned the office into a small clinic: registration desk, three screening stations, a waiting area with drinking water, and a doctor reviewing every case.
Over 400 people were screened through the day. 26 persons with cataract or a retina problem were referred to partner hospitals for follow-up, and everyone who needed glasses received a concessional coupon.
The camp is part of our regular health programme. Volunteers with any medical background, and organisations willing to sponsor spectacles, are always welcome.
