Art & craft training
A pioneer institution, Tamanna School of Art, has been running under KRRISH since 2007 - dedicated completely to art and culture. Sketching, water...
A farmer nurtures the whole of humanity - we simply try to do the same.
As we hear the word 'KRRISH' the first word which comes to our mind is 'farmer'. The farmer is the pillar of modern human society: they grow grains in barren land with hard work and nurture every human being. Just like that, the meaning of 'KRRISH' is "to help the needy one".
KRRISH started working for society in 2003 and was registered as a society in 2007 (Reg. No. 271/2006-7 (Society Registration Act 21, 1860)). What began as a group of young people teaching children in a rented room in Kankarbagh is today a small institution with art, music and skill classes running six days a week, health camps in the neighbourhood, and an alumni group that has scattered into colleges, studios and jobs - and still comes back to teach.
KRRISH is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the progress of education, healthcare and self-employment. Along with education, social awareness is our motto - saving the environment, keeping our streets clean, protecting the sparrows and trees of Patna. We create that awareness among children through painting, debates, street plays and plantation programmes, because children are the real brand ambassadors of our society and our country.
A neighbourhood where no child is held back for want of a brush, a notebook or a pair of spectacles - and where culture is not a luxury.
To run free, disciplined classes in art, music and skills; to organise health and environment camps; and to stay small enough to know every family we serve.

Visharad and Bhaskar final students from Bihar and Jharkhand receive their certificates at a convocation followed by a music and dance festival.
Art and music teachers continue classes over video calls and share material at the centre for families without a smartphone.

The same work, better tools: galleries, camp updates and online donation pledges for well-wishers across the world.
Classes run at 7 AM in winter and 4 PM in summer. Attendance registers are still kept in a notebook.
No child is ever asked to pay. Teachers and volunteers take a token honorarium only when funds allow.
Competitions, exhibitions and camps - children learn best when the whole neighbourhood is watching.
My daughter had never held a brush before 2022. Last winter she won a painting prize at her school and now she wants to become an art teacher. KRRISH did not charge us a single rupee.
I joined in class six and appeared for the Visharad examination eight years later. Today I earn from wall art and portraits while studying in college.
Their camps are genuinely organised - registration, screening, spectacles and follow-ups. Rare discipline for a voluntary organisation.
KRRISH has run on ordinary people's support since 2003. Join as a volunteer, sponsor art material, or simply share our work with someone who can help.
